AMP CITRATE (4 amino-2-Methylpentane citrate, AMP Citrate) is a new form and substitute for Geranium - DMAA.

Mar 18 2022

There are different names for AMP citrate - methylpentanamide or 1,3-dimethylbutylamine. But whatever this compound is called, there is one thing that is undoubtedly its greatest advantage - this compound has a remarkable structural similarity to DMAA (1,3, Dimethylamylamine, DMAA, Methylhexanamine, Geranamine, Geranium, Geranium Extract), an ingredient once popular in many fat burners and pre-training complexes. Thus, AMP citrate is now known as the "new geranium."

Origin of AMP citrate.

AMP citrate is a chemically synthesized compound. However, sports nutrition manufacturers claim that AMP citrate can be found in Pouchong tea, a Chinese tea similar to oolong tea.

Benefits of AMP Citrate

As mentioned above, AMP citrate is a very close relative of DMAA or 1,3-dimethylamylamine. The close relationship between the two compounds is best demonstrated by the fact that AMP citrate (methylpentanamide) and DMAA (methylhexanamine) share the same basic structure, but DMAA contains an additional carbon in the skeletal structure. Based on this similarity, the properties of AMP citrate are very similar to those of DMAA. When consumed in low doses, AMP citrate is a strong central nervous system stimulant that can help increase energy levels, focus, and metabolism. In other words, if you are already looking for an alternative to DMAA, AMP Citrate is the perfect replacement.

Effects .

1. Expressed psycho-physical stimulation

2. Increased ability to work

3. Improvement of mood

4. Increase lipolysis (fat burning)

5. Appetite suppression

DMAA has structural similarities to amphetamines, which can potentially lead to false readings in drug tests. However, because AMP Citrate has one less carbon atom and is different from amphetamines, it is even less likely to show a positive result in a drug test.

AMP Citrate Side Effects

Because of its similarity to DMAA, the side effects of AMP citrate are also quite similar. Large doses!!! can cause feelings of palpitations, and related symptoms. Because AMP citrate is a relatively new ingredient, there are very few studies regarding efficacy and safety. As such, it is recommended for all users, but we recommend caution when using AMP citrate, do not consume more than the recommended doses, and do not use it in combination with alcohol, or certain foods or meals that contain stimulants. If you are being treated for medications or suffer from chronic conditions, it is recommended that you refrain from consuming foods that contain this ingredient.

Recommended Doses of AMP Citrate

Because of the lack of research on this ingredient, it is difficult to establish a recommended dose. However, its dosage is expected to be similar to DMAA, which takes 10 to 60 mg. AMP citrate is most effective in pre-training complexes for energy boosting when taken about 30 minutes before training. For fat loss, it can be taken first thing in the morning or just before meals.

AMP citrate is used in:

AMP citrate got its start in pre-training complexes and fat burners, but there are also solo products with this ingredient.

Combination with other ingredients. Like its relative DMAA, AMP citrate combines well with caffeine to provide a synergistic energy boost. It can also be combined with typical pre-workout ingredients such as citrulline and beta-alanine and fat burners such as L-carnitine and green tea extract. Guarana extract, which contains up to 20% caffeine, is great for synergistic effects when taken with AMP citrate.
