Date palm pollen

Apr 19 2022

"Spikes" of palm pollen. Date palm pollen, or palm pollen for short, is a powdery substance produced by the male inflorescences of the date palm plant (Phoenix Dactylifera). The date palm is biparous, with both male and female trees; the pollen is produced only on the male trees while the fruit is produced on the female trees. One mature male plant produces about 1 to 1.5 kg of pollen per season. The pollen is collected in late February, early March. Palm pollen is rich in phytoestrogens, so it is useful primarily for women.
